========================================================================== Game Rules *Free Fantasy Football* is a Fantasy Football game is based on the *3 TOP LEAGUES* in Europe - the EPL, La Liga and Serie A. You can have Rooney, Messi and Maicon all playing in the same fantasy team! You will receive a Fantasy Budget to create your own ‘Fantasy Football Team’ of players from the 20 league teams. Your Fantasy team will then receive Fantasy Points for the real life performance of your selected players. You may enter upto *10 teams per entrant*. Any entrant found to have entered more than 10 teams will be disqualified and removed from the game. *HOW TO PLAY* *Name Your Team & Choose a Manager Profile* You must provide a unique name for your team. Please note any names deemed inappropriate or offensive will not be allowed and teams will be disqualified and withdrawn from the game. You will also be asked 'What Type of Manager Are You?'. This will be added to your 'profile' in the game and will tell your fellow Fantasy Managers what type of management style they are up against! *How to Pick your Team * Create your Fantasy Football team from the 'real life' players in the EPL (England), La Liga (Spain) and Serie A (Italy). You can either manually pick a team using your football know-how, or use the 'Lucky Dip' option, where the computer picks a team for you. *Budget:* To enter a team you must select 11 players, a manager and 4 subs from EPL, La Liga, or Serie A teams within your budget of* €180 million* (15 players in total). Your subs need to be 1 extra Striker, Midfielder, Defender and Goal Keeper, and you can swap these around within your team without using up your allocated transfers. * How to Change Players off the Bench onto the Pitch: * *Only the 11 players on the pitch will score points for you*. However you can exchange players from the bench onto the pitch without using up your transfer allocation. To change players; 1. Simply click on the player on the bench you want to bring on. 2. This will then list the players on the pitch you can exchange them for. 3. Choose the player you want to replace and confirm transfer Please note: Players brought on from the bench will only score points if they are in place prior to the kick off of their match. *4 Players Maximum Quota: *You can only select a maximum of 4 players/manager from 1 club. If a player or manager transfers to a different club in the league we will move them to their new club in the game. In this instance a team may legitimately go over the quota of 4 players/manager from 1 club. If you transfer out one of these players you will not be able to replace him with another player from the same club. *Formation:* You will need to select a formation for your team to play in. The formation you pick will decide the shape of your squad, your tactics and how your budget is spent. Choose your formation carefully as you cannot change it once you have submitted your team. *Captain:* You must choose one player to be your Captain. Your Captain scores *DOUBLE POINTS*. You can change your captain as many times as you want, but only the player named as captain at the captain transfer deadline of 17.00 (UK time) each Friday will receive double points for matches played in the following 7 days. NOTE: You may have selected your captain within the deadline BUT you need to keep him in your starting 11 team until the cut off time has passed i.e. every Friday at 17.01 (UK time). If no captain is chosen, no player will received double points! *Saving your team selections:* When you are building your team you can make as many changes as you like without using your transfer allocation. You must save your player selections my pressing the 'Save my Selections' button. If you do not save your selections your player selections will not be recorded and you will have to select them again. If you use the lucky dip option, or choose a captain, we will save your selections for you - no need to press the 'Save my Selections' button! *Free Transfer Window: *Up until *11.01 (UK time) on Saturday, 28th August 2010 *there is a transfer amnesty - you can shuffle your team around to your heart's content without using your transfers. Transfers made after the transfer window closes will be taken from the transfer allocation for that month. *SUBMITTING YOUR TEAM* Once your team is complete you must save your selections and submit it to start scoring points. Any teams incomplete or entered after the transfer amnesty will need to be manually submitted to start scoring points. To do this press the 'submit' button which will appear on the 'team' page once your team is FULLY built. *Please Note:* there will be a transfer lockdown for 10 minutes when the teams are being submitted. You will not be able to make any changes to your team during this time. *PRIZES* Prizes will be awarded throughout the competition. The opportunities to win prizes are: *Overall Prize:* The highest scoring manager at the end of the competition will win a trip for 2 to a European game *HOW TO SCORE POINTS* *Points are scored as follows:* *MANAGER* *WIN* +5 pts *DRAW* +2 pts *LOSE* -2 pts *PLAYERS* Buy wisely here and you’ll be heading straight to the top of the league! Position *Goal Scored* *Goal Conceded* *Clean Sheet* *Assists* *Keeper* +7 pts -2 pts +2 pts +4 pts *Defender* +5 pts -1 pts +1 pts +3 pts *Midfielder* +4 pts n/a n/a +3 pts *Striker* +3 pts n/a n/a +2 pts Additional Points for Players: *Played Over 70 mins* +2 pts *Played 69 mins and under* +1 pt *Yellow Card* -2 pts *Red Card* -5 pts *Captains will receive DOUBLE POINTS.* Each Player will Receive Points based on the Performance of their Club: * WIN* +3 pts *DRAW* +1 pts *LOSE* n/a *Note: *All results are checked and verified up to 48 hours after the match ending. This means that although points will be allocated to your team within a few hours of a match finishing we may change/correct points up to 48 hours afterwards. *Players only score points when they play in a match - no points are scored from the bench! * The ONLY results used for the game are those initially reported by www.soccerway.com . If any decision is reversed from what was initially reported we will NOT amend the points already applied to teams. *Players that move to a different club *When players are transferred to a different club during the ‘Premiership transfer window’ they will move clubs in the game. If that player moves to a club within the EPL, La Liga or Serie A then they will swap shirts and retain their value in the game and you will continue to playing with that player but at the new club they have moved to. If that player moves to a club outside of the 3 leagues - EPL, La Liga and Serie A - then they will appear in your team with as a black shirt with a red cross on it. This indicates that this player will no longer score points for you and needs to be transferred out of your team. *Tip –* make sure that you have a full squad and transfer out any player that are no longer scoring points for you to increase your point scoring potential! *Assists *A player will be given points for an assist if he is the last player to give a 'clean pass' to the goalscorer when a goal is scored by his team. An assist will be allocated to any player who makes the last pass/header etc. (contact action) before a goal is scored by a team-mate, regardless of the length, quality or intention of that action. If there is a measure of interference from an opposing player (accidental or otherwise) the assist may be taken away. This could be as a result of a dodgy backpass, a defensive deflection, a blocked shot or a poor clearance which significantly changes the direction of the ball. If a goalkeeper parries/drops a shot or cross and a goal is scored we will award the assist to the player making the original shot/cross. In the event that we cannot determine if a defensive touch has had a significant impact on the direction of the ball the benefit of the doubt will be given to the attacking player and the assist will be awarded. *Penalties/Free Kicks:* If a penalty is awarded and converted we will award an assist to the player who was fouled to earn the penalty. However, if the player who was fouled is also the penalty scorer we will not award an assist. If a penalty is missed, but the resulting parry from the goalkeeper is converted the assist is awarded to the penalty taker. Assists are not awarded to a player who earns a free kick from which a goal is scored. *Please note:* Following consideration by the Assists Award Panel points for assists may be added/removed up to 48 hours after the initial match points have been processed. The decision of the Assists Scoring Panel is final and no discussion will be entered into regarding the allocation of points for assists. *Captaincy* You will need to choose one player from your 11 players on the pitch to be the 'Captain' of your team. This player will DOUBLE his game points during the time he remains as Captain for your team. You can change your captain whenever you want, but only the captain named in your team at *17.00 (UK time) each Friday* will score points for the games in the following 7 days. Any subsequent changes to your captain will not score place unless they are named as captain at the next captain transfer deadline You can change your Captain by clicking the *‘remove captain’* link on your team - you will then be asked to select a different player to be your Captain. If no captain is chosen, no player will receive double points! Please be aware that captain deadline for first match day will be on Saturday 28th August 2010 at 11.01 UK time. *NOTE:* You may have selected your captain within the deadline BUT you need to keep him in your starting 11 team until the cut off time has passed i.e. every *Friday at 17.01 (UK time).* *TRANSFERS* All teams will receive *9 x monthly allocation of 4 transfers* (September 2011 - May 2012). A total of 36 transfers. *Please Note:* there will be a transfer lockdown for 10 minutes when the teams are being submitted. You will not be able to make any changes to your team during this time. You cannot carry transfers over from one month to another. If you have any transfers left at the end of the month you will lose them. *Transfer Deadlines* All transfers must be made by the published time of kick-off for any match for the player to be able to score points. Only those players named in the starting line up at the published time of kick off will score fantasy points for that match. That means you can transfer players out once a match has kicked-off and you will still score points for him. Your squad comprises of 15 players plus 1 manager, please NOTE - only the 11 players you select for your final team will score the relevant fantasy points - Your substitutes do not score you points. You may substitute a player out of your team after kick off and still score points for him. For example, if you want to score points for two players who are playing games which kick off at different times, you may substitute a player who is playing in the earlier game after kick off for a player on the bench who is playing later and receive points for both players. Players will only score points from the time/date they have been transferred into your team. Time of transfers will only be recorded as per the server clock (displayed in the top right hand side of the screen). We will not enter into discussion about times of transfer, or backdate points for any reason. *Captain deadline:* Captains must be named in your squad at *17.00 (UK time) each Friday*.
