Squad selection <http://en.euro2012fantasy.uefa.com/rules/#>

   You may only enter one fantasy football squad, multiple squads will
   be deleted. Your squad must consist of:

 * 2 Goalkeepers
 * 5 Defenders
 * 5 Midfielders
 * 3 Forwards

The number of players you can select from a single team depends on the stage of the competition:

Stage Players from a single team
Group stage                    2
Quarter-finals                 4
Semi-finals
                       6
Final                 12

Each player has been given a value. The initial value of your group stage squad must not exceed 100 million Euros, though this may increase due to player value changes. The value of each player can be found here <http://en.euro2012fantasy.uefa.com/player-list/>.

Once the group stage has finished each team will be given an additional 5 million Euros to spend.

   Scoring <http://en.euro2012fantasy.uefa.com/rules/#>

   During the tournament the fantasy football players will be allocated
   a point score after each game, based on their performances in the
   matches. Actions occurring in extra time count but penalty
   shoot-outs do not. Points are awarded as detailed in the table below:

Action  Points
For playing in a game 1
For playing at least 60 minutes in a game (includes playing points mentioned above) 2
For each goal scored by your goalkeeper or defenders 6
For each goal scored by your midfielders 5
For each goal scored by your forwards 4
For each goal assist * 3
For your goalkeeper conceding 0 goals (must also play at least 60 minutes) 4 For your defenders conceding 0 goals (must also play at least 60 minutes) 4 For your midfielders conceding 0 goals (must also play at least 60 minutes) 1 For earning a penalty after the referee adjudges that the player had been fouled 1 For conceding a penalty after the referee adjudges that an infringement takes place in the penalty area that results in a kick from the penalty spot -1
For every penalty miss  -2
For every penalty save  5
For every 2 goals conceded by your goalkeeper or defenders -1
For every yellow card   -1
For every red card (includes any yellow card points) -3
For every 3 saves       1
For every 5 recovered balls (the total of clearances completed and gaining possession tackles) 1

     Assists *

An assist is awarded when the goalscorer receives the ball directly from a team-mate (including the goalkeeper) and scores without having to take the ball past an opponent. If the pass takes a small deflection which does not change the direction of the ball, it will still be given. No assists are awarded for own goals or penalties. Live assists are provisional and will be reviewed within 24 hours of the match.

   Substitutions <http://en.euro2012fantasy.uefa.com/rules/#>

Use the My Team page to select 11 players to form your team for the next Matchday. Your formation will automatically change based on the players you have chosen.

Your substitutes do not score points. However, once a Matchday has started you can choose to take control of your squad by making manager substitutions, or do nothing and allow automatic substitutions to take place at the end of the Matchday.

     Manager substitutions

After all matches on a single day have finished and before the next matches start, you can:

1. Replace any player who wasn't sent off, with one from your bench
   whose team is yet to play.
2. Change your captain if he wasn't sent off, with a player from your
   squad whose team is yet to play.

Players who are substituted out will score 0 points, the captain bonus will be lost from your original captain if a new captain is selected. Substitutions and captain changes can't be cancelled once confirmed.

An unlimited number of manager substitutions can be made, however, it is not possible to make manager substitutions after games on the last day of the Matchday, as all fixtures will have been completed.

If a manager substitution or captain change is made then no automatic substitutions will take place on your team that Matchday.

     Automatic substitutions

If no manager substitutions or captain changes are made, automatic substitutions will take place at the end of the Matchday, when all matches have been played.

If your goalkeeper plays no part in the Matchday, then the computer will substitute the player for your replacement goalkeeper, if they played in the Matchday.

If any of your outfield players play no part in the Matchday, then the computer will try to substitute the inactive player for one of your replacements. This is done by replacing them with your highest priority substitute who actually played in the Matchday. You can change your substitution priorities on the My Team page.

   Captains <http://en.euro2012fantasy.uefa.com/rules/#>

You must nominate a member of your team to be captain. This player will score double the number of points they would usually have been awarded that Matchday.

Your captain may be changed during a Matchday by using manager substitutions.

If your captain does not play then the bonus will be lost. Another player will not take over the captaincy in their place.
