Wish I knew, here is some more info (which I should have previously supplied). I used the agar-1.4.1 tarball (as there was a problem with building SVN).
Ubuntu 11.04 uname -a Linux Cougar 2.6.38-8-generic #42-Ubuntu SMP Mon Apr 11 03:31:24 UTC 2011 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux gcc --version gcc (Ubuntu/Linaro 4.5.2-8ubuntu4) 4.5.2 The necessary packages where installed with synaptic to satisfy ./configure.
