The primitive old way of learning was raw trial and error motor reward learning - learning to walk.
The neocortex now found the better New way to learn - to daydream plans. The solution might be to first retreat back to home, then wait, then go back out to grab the food. Simulating plans uses Hindsight Experience Replay too, and is faster than acting it out. When you slide your fingers along a cup, smell it, see it, hear it....all that contexts helps to vote on classification in each sensory cortex (what you see, what you feel, what you hear). If you dream the rest of the sentence, your brain will do internal votes on the likeliest translation plus the likeliest next 'words' for the movie. You can then try acting it out, looking for cues, and adapt your motor muscles as needed to do the desired plans. Repeat. ------------------------------------------ Artificial General Intelligence List: AGI Permalink: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/T0bac50bd46a02459-M66cf9ebb003d56fc5254f9ae Delivery options: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/subscription
