It looks like I may have solved my million dollar mediation problem! The trick turned out to be analyzing documents for hidden meanings in a way that others can point to in mediation and explain. In this case, trust documents to extract what the writer REALLY thought about various beneficiaries, e.g. whether a particular provision was really meant to help or screw the person being mentioned. This would then be used to challenge unsupported claims by others who are attempting to misdirect justice away from my party's interests.
I have already found enough manually to hopefully carry the day. This seams to be VERY close to emotional text analysis, only point counting heuristics would never stand up in mediation, and only particular emotions are relevant. One document is an open book, but another document contains wildly mixed messages, thereby challenging the very legitimacy of this approach. So, to get me fully up to speed, what search terms should I use? Who is doing this sort of thing, etc? I sense some discovery in this - new methods to link emotions with legal subject matter to ascribe specific emotions and desires to people, actions, and things. Thoughts?
