I have several points of interest in Tensor Flow: 1. readily available accelerators (ie, Nvidia hardware I already haz or hope to get in near future). 2. good ecosystem. 3. It's a framework so should be able to add in the modules I actually need. 4. Community including meetups, online courses, etc. 5. possible job opportunities with demonstrated skil in TF. I banged on my computer again and this is what it's doing now: The english translation of the below is: "Well I got CUDA working by installing legacy version gcc-7.4.0 in a secondary 'slot' so I was able to compile the cuda-dependant stuff I couldn't do last time, but then when I tried to install tensorflow 2.0 itself, it failed beacuse it only supports selected GCC versions up to 7.3." tortoise ~ # emerge tensorflow --deep These are the packages that would be merged, in order: Calculating dependencies... done!
