Hi all, USA West coast time Seattle 7pm, there is a meetup in a Cafe organised by Mike Archbold. Here: https://www.meetup.com/Northwest-Artificial-General-Intelligence-Meetup-Group/events/266119002/?rv=cr1&_xtd=gatlbWFpbF9jbGlja9oAJDlhMjQ5NjZlLWY0MmEtNDZmNC1iNTVmLTZjYmFjMzI4ZTU5ZA&_af=event&_af_eid=266119002
Alas I can't share a drink with those in the cafe .... I'm presenting live from Melbourne via a google hangout. Remote lurkers welcome! Mike provides a link on the day. In case any of you might like to come to grips with my AGI approach, it'd be a good opportunity to get properly introduced. I've presented bits of it in a lecture to 3rd year Biomed students doing a deep-learning neural net course at Unimelb. They survived. So maybe you can too. :-) I know my ideas can be hard to see. An in-depth discussion of what my approach is and why it matters might at least get you thinking and questioning a bit. Think of AGI as more of a science-cultural problem than a technical problem. Things have to change for AGI to progress. I hope I can reveal one way for change to come. Not a single algorithm. No math. Large font and pictures! BUT ...The talk is not short and is involved....you will have to stay awake. I'll try to keep the engagement levels lively. cheers colin ------------------------------------------ Artificial General Intelligence List: AGI Permalink: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/T0e69017f24827d6e-M9f9ad89e2feb767cadcedb8a Delivery options: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/subscription
