It may also help to read what he said about Evans's work.  He dissed it in
a way indicating he didn't see the potential of Evans's work in the 2017
paper sufficient to motivate him to watch Evans's progress.  That tells me
he's not the kind of intellect that has any business projecting the next
decade in AI.  He just doesn't have a knack for spotting key work.
