om I'm genuinely annoyed by Immortal Discoveries!
I mean lots of guys get hyped about transhumanism or AI or something but manias never last more than two weeks. So I.D. might actually have some potential here, but he squanders it on utterly silly problems that will inevitably carry him in the direction of Mentifexitis. =| He doesn't seem to realize that the world is ruled by a bunch of tyrants even more obsessed with transhumanism than he is. =\ He hasn't given a clear answer as to why his nanobot swarm idea is good. Since he isn't flogging me every day about why I'm irrational for being anti-uploading and since the ideas I don't talk about myself aren't all that sane, I'm going to let his end goals slide. If you are really cereal about AGI, you need to stop working on the wrong problems!!! Everybody has an "inner Wheatley". The trick is to shut the little bugger up... https://youtu.be/LovYNScgReY?t=443 To do this, we have meditation techniques. I'm not too knowledgable about meditation except the bare minimum. The point is that in order to think properly about the mind, you need to get in contact with your own raw consciousness, as limited and dorky as it may be. What you need to be able to do is reach a "mu state", if I am using that term right. I mean a state of mind without any kind of verbal thought. It is not easy, it takes work! I don't care what you need to study, what guru you need to use, or anything, you need to learn how to use your own brain at this most basic level before you can do anything else. Learn how to do this and hold a mu state for at least a few minutes. Then play around with the state while doing various things, like driving etc... I'm super cereal about this, it's a necessary step on the road to understanding the mind! When I was your age, I was looking at these computer science boox and was like "Ok, so these things process LANGUAGES written in ALPHABETS" (which is the terminology the theroetical books use). How, then, do we get from there to dynamic and expandable consciousness/intelligence. Well, in as few layers of abstraction as possible, what you need is to get to a system that can learn the concepts that it ueses to think. I mean it doesn't just have a set of functions it can do but it has the ability to learn new functions such as the mu training that I'm demanding you do. =| The brain has only signals to work with, so we should therefore focus on designing computers that can perform complex computations using nothing but those signals... -- The vaccine is a LIE.
