But I think there are cognitive limits that would keep it from being any faster as long as we use neurons instead of transistors for thinking. Once we get to that point, I suppose we will have figured out how to upload our souls, or at least it will look like we did. You still need a protocol for communication between brains, whether natural or artificial. In my 2013 distributed AGI proposal I use natural language between peers. Most likely that will be English, since it is taught to children in almost every country now.
