I want to do two things. First, automate human labor so we don't have to work. Second, build robots that look and act like us so we don't have to die.
The problem is just the first step of my design costs $1 quadrillion, nanotechnology to augment transistors, and a global acceptance of loss of privacy. I can't build it myself, obviously. But I did outline an economic model where it is built by a global effort over decades by self interested people competing to share information with negative value. That competition spurs investment in hardware, software, and data collection. My main contributions are showing that distributed message broadcast and search scales O(n log n) among competing, hostile peers, and using text compression to quantify the cost of language modeling.
