My only quibbles with his ideas is that I think he should start out with 1E-6 as many cat girls. The other issue are the resource needs, ie he should back off from the idea of reducing the earth to nanites to either selecting a much smaller number of nanites on Earth and/or using a distant celestial object for his needs. While we are not talking about torture or any kind of direct pain, the issue seems to be the constraints on the life course of such a being and limitations on personal development. On the other hand there seems to be many very enjoyable features of such a life, so I would not say either that the idea of spawning beings like that should be prohibited or that there are any irreprable problems with such an idea.?? Actually this is a fairly important topic so lets jump into it. AGI itself is the only critical ingredient that is missing from being able to conjure cat-girls or any other type of girls that you may require into existence on a whim. One rule that I would propose is the rule of transposition, would you be willing to live the life of the spawned being for a week or more? if not, then it is probably not acceptable. Other rules could include a prohibition on suffering, While pain seems to be a necessary feature of existance, if it is not avoidable then it is not acceptable. Another set of rules would involve emancipation, what rights would a created being have to petition for emancipation? This becomes problematic when the created being is only semi-autonomous, or is used as an extension of the creator in some sense.
