I'm trying to read up on the computation trend that Lgg talked about. http://vinodwadhawan.blogspot.com/2013/07/88-evolution-of-computer-power-per-unit.html
Is it that compuation speed/MIPS is doubling every 10 years OR is it 10x more every 10 years? One article says measuring computation in MIPS per cost is an old way to measure computer performance/speed....Huh??? Is Legg just out of date??? What then is in date? And why haven't we passed the human level MIPS already, and where is the graph for 2020 that shows the wholeee curve!? I only see 1999 plot curve and its LINEAR, it doesn't reach the monkey or man level, and they don't show what happens! Is it still LINEAR or not show me the plot. Sorry but all these old internet posts I'm coming across are peaing me off its so much to search through and maybe U know the answers. ------------------------------------------ Artificial General Intelligence List: AGI Permalink: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/Tfce80000509c1fb3-Md96fc58d8eadacf3d50ead5f Delivery options: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/subscription
