Thad teaches Artificial Intelligence at Georgia Tech and in Udacity's AI Nanodegree with Udacity founders and AI pioneers Sebastian Thrun and Peter Norvig. Dr. Starner is perhaps most famous for his work on wearable computers, and he was one of the architects of Google Glass, whose third edition was released in 2019. Thad's other current projects include phrase-level sign language recognition, making wearable computers for communicating with working dogs, creating gloves that teach skills like playing piano with little to no attention, and helping marine mammalogists learn to communicate with wild dolphins through AI.
