Here is a robot that looks and acts like you. Here is a gun. Will you shoot
yourself now to complete the upload, or will you refuse a procedure that
will make you immortal?

It's a hard question because animals that don't want to die produce more
offspring. One of the ways that evolution accomplishes that is by
continuous positive reinforcement of thinking, perception, and action. This
motivates you to preserve them by not dying. It also motivates the belief
in consciousness, qualia, and free will, respectively. The fact that you
can't objectively test for any of these or even define them coherently
should tell you that they are illusions. Their only relevance to AGI is
that your robot has to believe in them too.

Consciousness = what computation feels like.
Qualia = what input feels like.
Free will = what output feels like.
Feelings = reinforcement signals.
