Here's some advice, FWIW: The compressors you develop that focus on compressing human centric text interestingly enough are network learning through human agents, that is your own conscious brains. The compressor improvements aren’t communicated compressor to compressor, or compressor instance to compressor instance, IOW Matt's compressor doesn’t talk to immortal’s compressor except though human conscious wetware via email and chat. They have human trolls governing their behavior. To move closer to AGI the compressors need to network either directly or through some distributed mechanism, centralized or decentralized. Your compressors are isolated hard-coded hyper-AI agents, not AGI. Add some consciousness equivalent function, a.k.a communication protocol and stop being so hung-up on ideologies. Also, your job here is not to troll other researcher’s pursuits but to respect them.
