Hehe I searched a bit and found 2 links worth sharing.
A fully moving robot woman built for 50,000$ in Hong Kong https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qd3QDTPgkOg A Quara thread: https://www.quora.com/How-much-would-it-cost-to-make-a-humanoid-robot-with-an-artificial-general-intelligence-that-could-keep-company-with-humans-who-are-alone I actually know little about robotics, I mean I know there is motors and limbs etc obviously. I sweetheartedly "believe" it is not incredibly hard to make a humanoid robot (in the most begging form, could be just a 3-arm wheeled box with an eye and hand) given the buyer pays 5,000-100,000 USD (no software, just a robot that looks slim and has motors to do basic movements, no high speed running or 200 pound lifting). With just an AGI software, one could run it on the robot.....no need to program other thingies like stabilization or add special hardware to stabilize thingies......just camera...motors.....AGI controls it all from there for you.... I still don't see why it is so hard to make a 3 arm wheeled had-eye crane do general tasks in the home the way I described above, I mean I know what I explained is hard but for someone with a lot of money and employees it seems like a practical adventure. ------------------------------------------ Artificial General Intelligence List: AGI Permalink: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/Tf6dddebe1e89183a-M673dbc72fc65b609696d1769 Delivery options: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/subscription
