You mean clustering in context space? That's how you learn grammatical
roles from unlabeled text. "the X was" tells you X is a noun. Children
learn grammar after semantics, what your word pair matrix learns.

The dictionaries for the Hutter prize winners group related words together
so that when they are coded, the low bits can be dropped from some of the
context models.
