A conversation I had with someone who works on AGI. We are a strong team that
believes in each other and works hard. We are having a fight right now:
ME: Omg, you let the AI out into the jungle!?
Josh: Yes, it was good for it.
ME: How long until people find the robot?
Josh: Twenty-two minutes.
ME:Is that long enough for us to leave the building?
Josh: Yes.
ME: How powerful is this AI?
Josh: Like, two humans.
ME:Is it thinking faster than real time?
Josh: Yes.
ME:Oh no, I thought you set it to 2x slower!!
Josh: I did!
ME:Then how did it get real time speed???
Josh: I don't know, it wasn't me.
ME:What should we do, we are going to be in big trouble.
Josh: It is ok, I am going to turn it off.
ME:How? We lost it now.
Josh: We can find it with the GPS.
ME:Where is it now?
Josh: It is in the lobby.
ME:How many eyes did you give it?
Josh: Four.
ME:Will it hurt us if we try to turn it off?
Josh: No, it will just ignore us.
ME:Omg, it cut my arm, run!
Josh: I can't run.
ME:Oh no, I am so sorry Josh, what should I do?
Josh: I can't move, it is ok.
ME:Josh, I turned it off, we are so lucky.
Josh: You should have let it go into the jungle.
ME:Why?
Josh: It would have enjoyed that more.
ME:But it almost killed me, and then you probably too!
Josh: True.
ME:What will we do next now? Man...
Josh: We have to start over.
ME:And do what next time?
Josh: I don't know, but next time will be better.
ME:What is your plan?
Josh: I am going to give the AI five eyes, and then it will be able to see
two steps ahead.
