John are you really thinking about this stuff? Vaccines massively dampen COVID spread. However in places where there's been widespread vaccination, people have concurrently been carrying out more risky behaviors (because they are emboldened by being vaccinated). The places where vaccination has been minimal (e.g. Africa) are also largely places where COVID has not been spreading much for various other reasons (low obesity, outdoors-oriented lifestyle, strong immune systems, etc.). This paper makes total sense but doesn't really cast any doubt on the vaccines' physiological efficacy...
