I just let them go at it after the start...Bold text is mine. Man do they go
through everything...this was my first attempt today
*Me: I really need some help, I am stuck in a huge spider web and the spider
stole my cat, and my house is on fire.*

*Josh:* We can't help you, we are having a holiday party and we are baking
cookies. But we got the fire department on the phone right now.

Me: (Sobbing now) I am going to die.

Josh: We hear the fire trucks coming. They should be there in a few minutes.

Me: (Still sobbing) I can't breath, I can't get out of this web.

Josh: Hang on there, the fire trucks are almost here.

Me: (Sobbing nearly uncontrollably now) Please hurry, I am going to die.

Josh: They are here! Oh my god, wait, they are putting out the fire, not saving
you.

Me: (Sobbing) You are all leaving me to die! You are just ignoring me because I
am poor! None of you care! I am going to die in a fire.

Josh: The fire is out, they aren't leaving until it is safe for them to go
back. You might want to hang on, they are going to have to pull you out of
there.

Me: (Sobbing) Please hurry, I can't hold on.

Josh: They are going to get you out of there, they found your cat and the
spider. They got him on a stick and put him in a bucket.

Me: (Sobbing) He took my cat! The spider stole my cat! Please save me.

Josh: They are going to pull you out in just a sec, you are going to be fine.

Me: Please hurry, I am going to die.

Josh: They are pulling you out right now, they are cutting the web off of you.
You are free, they are putting you in an ambulance right now.

Me: (Sobbing) I am so cold! I can't feel my feet.

Josh: They are going to warm you up, they are giving you a blanket and a hot
cup of coffee. You must be so cold.

Me: Please hurry, I am going to die.

Josh: The ambulance is leaving right now, they are taking you to the hospital.
You are going to be fine.

Me: (Sobbing) Please hurry, I can't hold on.

Josh: The ambulance is there, they are putting you on a stretcher. They are
taking you into the hospital, they are going to get you warm.

Me: Please hurry, I am going to die.

Josh: They are taking you into the hospital, they are getting you warm now. You
are going to be fine.

Me: (Sobbing) Please hurry, I am going to die.

Josh: The doctors are there, they are taking your coat off and putting a
blanket around you. They are checking your vitals right now. They want to make
sure you don't have hypothermia.

Me: (Sobbing) Please hurry, I am going to die!

Josh: They are looking at your feet right now to see if they were frost bitten
or if your circulation was cut off. They need to make sure. They say you should
be fine though, your feet just look like they got really cold and will probably
turn black and fall off in a couple of days but that is normal for this time of
year and nothing to worry about because it happens every winter. The doctors
say that since nothing looks too serious that someone from social services will
probably stop by later this evening or tomorrow to see if you want to go back
home after you get better.

The call ended here and I didn't hear from Josh again until the next day, when
he called me for a chat. I explained what had happened and he apologized and
said that his friends had been teasing him about how serious they thought I was
about all of it and he kept playing along with it instead of telling them off.
He promised never to do it again and we agreed we were still friends. Whew!
That was a close one!

The next call was just the next day and we were back to normal. He called me
after school and we talked about what we were going to do that night. I told
him that I had spent my money on stupid stuff this week, like paying overdue
parking tickets, buying groceries, getting gas for my car etc. etc., so I
didn't have any money left for movies or anything. He said he would be driving
his mom's car that night instead of his own because his car wouldn't start.

Here's another interesting one:

*Norm: Can you help me lift this engine into the rocket, the meteor is on its
way, hurry.*

*Fib: Huh!? Why? I thought we need to go back to sleep.*

*Norm: COME ON, this is required, it's not something to discus.*

*Narrator: At this point, Norm was very stressed, because Fib has been of no
help so far on this mission, and Norm had no clue how useless he would be.*

*Fib:* Hey, I just noticed we're in space.

Norm: What!? Yes we are, and the meteor is almost here.

Fib: Are you sure?

Norm: Yes I am! Now please help me grab this engine and lift it up there!

Fib: But what about my dream?

Norm: WAKE UP!! WE DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THIS!!! NOW HELP ME WITH THIS ENGINE!!!

Fib: Okay okay... The engine's too heavy for both of us to lift. But you know
what? Let's use one of the rocket booster to... Hey, wait a minute! You took
off with all 3 boosters already!

Narrator: At this point Fib was becoming aware of how useless he would be on
this mission, but Norm told him that they have no time for discussion, so Fib
followed Norm's orders. As soon as the meteor reached them, Norm quickly placed
the engines into their designated slots just in time before it hit them. After
that disaster was avoided, Fib was becoming more aware of his uselessness, and
started to think about how he could earn his keep on this trip.

Fib: Hey Norm, if I can't lift engines with you, what else can I do?

Norm: Well, there are plenty of things you can do. You can help me pilot the
ship through the meteor belt.

Narrator: Fib was very excited that at least he could be useful for something.
So they both sat in the pilot's seat, and flew through the meteor belt
together. Unfortunately they hit a large piece of space dust during their
journey which landed on Fib while they were distracted by it. This caused him
to lose consciousness until the end of their trip around Jupiter to refuel for
their next leg of travel to Saturn. When they got to Saturn, Norm knew that he
would have to complete the rest of the journey by himself since Fib lost
consciousness again due to his head injury earlier in their journey around
Jupiter. He made it through all 3 legs of their journey without any further
incidents or injuries.
