Uhh, do you believe in self-improvement? Once you have direct access to your "source code" and start improving it, how long do you think it will be until you are no longer recognizable to current "you"?
See, "you" is whatever you identify with, it changes all the time anyway. As you get smarter and more secure, that identification becomes increasing abstract. Soon too abstract for current you to recognize. As for incremental change vs. wiping-out, that's just a pragmatic choice. At some point, it no longer makes sense to maintain "legacy code". What really matters is functionality, however you define it at your current stage of self-identification. ------------------------------------------ Artificial General Intelligence List: AGI Permalink: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/T3dc391c1276210e8-Md278e3c9390ff8e5129fd1e6 Delivery options: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/subscription
