MeTTa is not like Cyc or Cycl-L at all, it is more like a 2.0 version of OpenCog's "Atomese" language.
The learning/reasoning algos to go along with it, at first pass, will be more elegant and abstract versions of the familiar algos from OpenCog .. interfacing with deep NNs according to an improved version of the patterns from OpenCog Classic's "cognitive module networks" ... > Do I understand that MeTTa is basically a knowledge representation language > like Cyc? What went wrong, I suppose, was that substantial enough resources were never focused on building AGI using OpenCog ... and the implementation was never sufficiently scalable Hyperon will be a scalable OpenCog infrastructure, and while we're far from Google-scale we have substantially more resources to put behind the project now -- Ben ------------------------------------------ Artificial General Intelligence List: AGI Permalink: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/T0d365b953350e4ce-M9f3c282cc30dde3b217bdd8b Delivery options: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/subscription
