Yes, the meme algorithms that control memories and advertisement are part of what came out of us and now is forming the bigger thing. However, AGIs are still actually robots with AIs in them. I actually meant to explain all this this week in a post:
*Everything is based on scaling _calculation _up. This is all that matters.* *Man does calculation. His arms are what allows him to enact his calculations in the real world.* 1) If you make more men, you get more work (calculations) done in the same amount of time compared to if had 1 man.* *This happens by just cloning (making babies). 2) If you speed up a AI's brain, or make your schedule neater, you get more man power work done (calculations), as if there is 2 of you. This also just happens naturally to AIs, we/they make themselves faster, by cloning the idea to make that a job (it's a good idea, so its a common job...). 3) If you train on a lot of data, like GPT-3, you get more mapower, more calculation gets done in the same amount of time. Same as above 1) and 2). Data just gets sucked up into sensors, and cloned, on paper, into others brains, even in your own brain, using old ideas as the seeds. Same as 1) and 2) above, cloning is what scales this "more calculation scaling law". 4) Improving your intelligence. AIs will do this much faster than humans which do it by evolving slowly. This scales the calculations that get done. It may not seem like scaling more men, or more data up, but, it is, because it is making the job faster, getting more valuable work done. When you have a ton of calculation power, you can give yourself a calculation upgrade even faster now. Singularity in action. With many cloned memories, men, intelligence, and speed, you get yet more clones, see? 2 clones into 4, but 10,000,000 clone into 20,000,000. Calculation also allows you to make and use tools. That's the 2nd thing you do with calculation power, is use it for use now that have it. In this case, you need human, no tool, no arm, will be intelligent on its own. All those radars, vacuums, etc send feedback eventually to humans. So, with the human brains, and using its say massive calculation power, it can make better tools using the last tools, and use them. These tools do calculation BTW. Such as a motor innovation technology as it spins for us on its own. Tools also allow one to use calculation into the real world. So, now, the using of this calculation, by using tools, allows one to repair/ backup (clone) oneself and team network. That's right, we use the calculation power to make more calculation. Repair is done not just be replacing half a brain but also by doubling the size! So, cloning, repair, is what we all seek and love. It ensures us a higher probability of survival, so we take it, and beat the ones who don't want to live that long or become that large. Cloning yes expands into time (longevity) and not just space (stacks of the same item, pattern cloning). So, where are we then? Man has, since 0-2022 A.D., improved his calculation power little, because not much intelligence of the brain has been updated, as gene updates is slow, and speed updates are rather also impossible but still have made room a tiny bit as we can organize our time better as of recently. We have, however even as far back as ex. 1500 or 1000 wrote books and libraries, which scale the wisdom and teachers (you teach by writing, you don't have to be there to say it, 1,000 humans can read your writing while you write book2...). Man has also improved cloning, this is very true recently, at 8 billion humans on Earth, it is growing faster recently! AGIs will surely ace these 4 domains, and even tool morphing using nanobots using their brains thoughts to control their shape and video they will act out. AGIs are still the same ingredients though, scaling of calculation! So, with these abilities maximized, such as having trillions of agents, wisdom, speed, recognition accuracy, and tools, it will good soon at repair/cloning, yes, the same thing, the thing that we want gives us it, it is same. With the ability to repair and backup oneself, this requires the engineering of a engine that using such such as using your Extra Memories as tool to do so - and notice the adding of extra memories makes your brain bigger - it makes YOU bigger! Also, cloning yourself helps you achieve tasks, while making YOU bigger (more likely to survive if one dies, like memories 'can' die each day). Speed also gives you more time to live, this is exactly what allows you to fix damage and live though! And improving intelligence, this helps you, but it ALSO makes you a more you, like a new birth, you can now see in new colors, a better life, and such! It's still you just there is more memories now, more speed, more yous (clones), and more intelligence going on (mini networks taking votes!). you don't change, you just grow BIGGER. But this very biggerness is what helps you survive. Whilst making you more you than ever before... So, embrace scaling laws...and AGI is the next step. The next step to improving our toolshed to cure ageing, and improving our experience of life. These things, become hierarchies. Parts that make up bigger parts and are re-used. Memories do, human (nearly similar clones) do, speed does, and intelligence is just deeper hierarchies?
