A little research shows that: Sanctuary AI is an artificial general
intelligence company founded in January 2018, and is based in Vancouver, B.C.
Sanctuary's mission is to build synthetic humans – “synths” – that are
indistinguishable from us physically, cognitively and emotionally. The company
is structured to explore both cutting edge technology and the ethical issues
that arise from creating human-like machines.
To me they look like they are management heavy and research light. They are
robot hardware heavy and AGI software light. The video on one of their web
pages is commented with "Video at top of page shows a Sanctuary general-purpose
robot
system under pilot control. " But there is no way to tell how old the video is.
