To my shock I agree with your core point for once. Gaming the market and earning money based on something essentially meaningless ... such as the precise time when transactions are made ... is just a way to extract wealth from the rest of society without giving anything back. It's a long way from the spirit of a voluntary, fair exchange of goods and services. And it ends up making the economy more nonsensical and less effective for all of us. This is one reason why automated trading is not an AI topic I have any interest in.
