In the last year, China surpassed the USA in two more metrics: life expectancy and published research papers. In spite of China's military threats against Taiwan, they know that war would be disaster for both sides. In the next decade, China will be the world leader in semiconductor manufacturing. They are patient. The collapse of scientific cooperation and trust with the USA is our loss.
