Some thoughts on the "AI bubble."

Biden made it clear that he would regulate AI. Marc Andreessen
even claimed that the Biden admin wanted to nationalize AI and
classify the research.

Trump removed all AI regulations and encouraged development,
even helping to broker AI deals with wealthy Middle Eastern
countries.

The dems may well regain power in 2028, riding on Trump-fatigue.
They may take control of one or both houses of congress in 2026
but are unlikely to have veto-proof majorities, allowing Trump
to veto AI regulations.

Thus the AI industry has four years to develop their AI systems
before they face regulation. Hence the huge investments of
capital and effort. Perhaps a bubble, but also exploiting the
four year time window that Trump has given them. Perhaps they
figure that if they can deeply integrate their AI systems into
business and society, then it will be difficult to alter them
much by regulation. In any case, making hay while the sun shines.
