Hi all, A point for discussion:
When I tell people I am interested in artificial intelligence, a fairly common reaction is to express concern that AI would just take jobs from humans, making the job market worse than it really is. My feeling is that AI is good for the world, at least when used properly; however, I don't have a concise argument explaining why the job market concern is misguided. I'd like to hear if anyone has arguments for or against this point. (I know this has been discussed in the past, but it came up again for me, so I thought I'd post to see where the currently active members are on this issue.) -- Abram Demski http://lo-tho.blogspot.com/ http://groups.google.com/group/one-logic ------------------------------------------- AGI Archives: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/303/=now RSS Feed: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/rss/303/8660244-d750797a Modify Your Subscription: https://www.listbox.com/member/?member_id=8660244&id_secret=8660244-6e7fb59c Powered by Listbox: http://www.listbox.com
