TA: I believe it's not him only, after all that's the idea of AGI, to solve everything possible with a smooth integral framework, instead of working ad-hoc.
That’s the way evolution works? S.o. sits down and designs a new organism to solve everything possible? That’s the way technology evolves? S.o. sat down and designed our present computers from scratch? Obviously there’s a conflict here between the way things actually evolve in the real world, and the way machines have been designed to date – which has always been to do ONE specific task, by contrast with real world “machines” – living organisms and animals - which have the potential for an infinite range of tasks and activities. The “smooth integral framework” approach is actually solving *nothing* possible. ------------------------------------------- AGI Archives: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/303/=now RSS Feed: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/rss/303/21088071-c97d2393 Modify Your Subscription: https://www.listbox.com/member/?member_id=21088071&id_secret=21088071-2484a968 Powered by Listbox: http://www.listbox.com
