I think meetup.com charges money. About five years ago,
meetup went from free to charge-costing, and soon thereafter
the New York Times had an article about the founder of
MeetUp getting married. It made sense to me, that
impending embourgeoisement makes a guy want money.

On Saturdays (and other days) I have been coding my

http://www.scn.org/~mentifex/Dushka.html

Russian AI at the north Seattle coffee shop called

Jewel Box Cafe

http://www.jewelboxcafe.net

321 NE Thornton Place
Seattle WA 98125
Tel. 206-432-9341

which is in a little court yard
(with giant chess figurines) near
UW Medicne and Regal Cinema, adjacent
to the Northgate Mall and the
Northgate Seattle Metro Bus Transit Center.

I am often at the "JB" on Saturdays between
noon and four p.m., sipping coffee and OJ
and using my Acer Aspire One netbook to
code the JavaScript Russian artificial intelligence.
The netbook lets me toggle between Russian
Cyrillic typing and English by hitting
Alt-Shift. Then I use the Jewel Box
Wi-Fi (current password "banana") to upload
my Daily Miracle of AI coding to Google Code.

They even have a little conference room there
at the Jewel Box Cafe. Anybody from this list
is welcome to show up there and commence an
immediate de-facto AGI Seattle Meeter-Upper.
(Just ask one of the beauties on duty if
"Arthur" is there :-)
