Thanks for the overview. Of course one is not meant to criticize when another explains what he has done and why. Several errata have creeped in here and there, presumably they won't make it in the book, like on page 2 first line "creation OF AI systems" and 7 lines from the end "Due TO ...".
I would probably write a different intro, highlighting embeddedness as one of the major problems of AI, everything becomes so much easier when "box" is just a node in a graph! Will return with some more beef about the beef in the article.
