I think the issue that you were trying to raise is that the best way to 
recombine
memes is not by using point crossovers on serialised data.  That's true - but 
there's
still a link to recombination in the organic realm.  Recombination means what 
its
etymology suggests it means - memetic recombination just uses more sophisticated
crossover techniques, that's all.
