The interesting thing will be to see how it scales on massive parallel hardware ... if they can make it only slightly more powerful than a human brain that will be a huge thing of course and isn't the main point here that the hardware will be available in a very foreseeable future? Intelligence explosion in 2014? ;-)

Probably so, but I think it's also significant that it's the /same /system doing these different tasks.
