Matt, I don't think anyone is blaming technology. We all know that automation is a good thing.
We or some of us, simply believe since so much is automated, then we should be able to have more time off to do stuff. However the social reforms are lacking or slow paced, so perhaps we'll be able to speed those up with technology also. It would be great if we could replace politicians with technology. Such as is the case with the Online Party, that is direct-democratic approach, members vote on bills, and the party representatives must vote the same as the people, when in office. https://www.onlineparty.ca/ Certainly it's not perfect, as phrasing is really very important, and it can be pretty confusing with some of the bills they post. But I think it's a move in the correct direction. Considering how great food technologies are, perhaps they can cut down on subsidizing it, unfortuantely subsidized industries, lobby to keep themselves so.
