I believe that I have taken the first step toward finding a deterministic
polynomial time solution to 3-SAT. I believe that I am, right this moment, on
the verge of making a breakthrough on finding a solution for the simplest kinds
of 3-SAT formulas possible. I should have a better idea about whether the
method I am trying is feasible in about 4 years.
People can mock me for making a statement like this, but it does not change the
reality that underlies significant innovation, and I feel that this innovation
is feasible even though it may be extremely difficult to detect the patterns
and regularities that would make a solution feasible.
