Well, fine - if you want to talk about AI and the study of physics... but
you began by saying that you WERE talking about general intelligence/
problemsolving.

AT: In my efforts to specify several different developmental and
architectural paths for **general intelligence** I pointed out that a
defining problem for epistemology (computational epistemology perhaps) and
computer science is to determine if and when a program/organism has the
cognitive capacity to "do physics",

And my general point is that the academic, narrow AI-rooted areas that
interest you and many others, like Legg and Hutter, have nothing whatsoever
to do with general intelligence/ AGI - are purely academic in every sense.
