Matt: Clearly the very first real AGI System would obsolete the notion of money, artificial scarcity, fear, competition, ego, our competitive zero-um (or rather negative sum) monetary system and capitalism. So posting about the financial aspect of AGI is rather pointless? :-) No "sane" business man with personal short time profit on his mind should be investing in AGI because it would most likely also obsolete all societal asymmetries and the notion of personal profit.
The only way to profit from AGI research is to ensure it never actually arrives at the "G" aspect in AGI.
