Duh, cognition, it's just an illusion ... the brain is just a feedback algorithm, simulator based on the feedback. It's quite eloquent if you understand feedback loops. Even better if understand the algorithmic pattern programming from the genetic levels, biological differential stability network.
Yeah, they finally analyzed the brain's parallelism in fMRI and only found 50 high level coherent streams, less than that are active at any given task. So, besides the cells' DNA functioning as possible CPU/calculators for structural level dynamics/stability synching mechanisms, which they of course didn't address, it seems quite plausible that we'll be able to mimic human level intelligence sometime soonish. In otherwords, if the you thought like me and could represent knowledge in a perfect network, then you would already have AGI ;) On Wed, Nov 12, 2014 at 8:19 PM, Ben Goertzel via AGI <[email protected]> wrote: > Interesting brain imaging analysis... > > > http://www.technologyreview.com/view/532291/fmri-data-reveals-the-number-of-parallel-processes-running-in-the-brain/ > > > > -- > Ben Goertzel, PhD > http://goertzel.org > > "The reasonable man adapts himself to the world: the unreasonable one > persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
