As much as i hate to admit it, a book by Goertzel is about 100 times more
illuminating than the inventor's "Higher Intelligence". Now, even though I
don't believe in Penrosian "magic" (the idea that only some hardware
configurations give rise to a mind because of known or even unknown
physics), working without proper 3-dimensional chips is killing me. In van
der Made's patent we mostly have one more "neural chip" and some promise
for stacking them perhaps. And this will solve all problems because?
http://www.google.com/patents/US8250011 . Nah, neural chips will become a
commercial success when cheap enough, but solving AGI, I don't think so.
