hmmm, I prefer the unix shell because it's a universal language,
one console to accomplish all things, from a keyboard. no pesky
mouse or searching through menus. 

I realize it is difficult for novices to learn, and may take 2
years of emersion to become fluent, much as is the case with
human languages. 

that's why I'm working on SPEL Speakable Programming for Every
Language. where can use a programming langauge based on human
language to use the computer, and also communicate to other
humans, regardless of language background. since SPEL has a
front-end for each (human) language, and can do machine 
translation between languages.
