It means that another puzzle piece of the AGI has been created, There are a few more physical abilities to "tackle", but after that the main problem will be integration. At which point, we'll have to rather seriously consider human-level AI and beyond as deserving of human rights. probably one of the last "skills" to overcome, will be autonomous sexual replication.
