I wish people would write more content-relative comments about the stuff they find on the internet and I wish they would make fewer immature outbursts.
The report that was linked provided nothing about how the semantic search was supposed to work, no link to the website and no criticism of the claims being made. The Semantic Scholar website is at https://www.semanticscholar.org/ I tried searching Semantic Scholar and I think I found one relevant paper. When I used a more interesting semantic phrase, ("Using Semantics to Determine Instructions") I did get some papers that might be relevant but I also found a lot that weren't. But, in a minute or two I was able to find some papers that would be of interest to me. That does not mean that I can actually use it as a practical tool. And of course, the 800 pound sluggard in the room is that you can't really refine the search using conversation.
