Hi. Here's a recent article about belief aggregation - a collective intelligence technique:
http://matchingpennies.com/belief_aggregation/ It's mostly a brief summary of what I know on the topic. The article has one claim which I think is worth drawing attention to - which is the idea that we ought to be using machine intelligence to perform belief aggregation. This is probably true in both cooperative belief aggregation contexts (companies and organizations) and competitive ones (marketplaces). As far as I know most existing belief marketplaces don't do this - relying instead on market forces to determine prices. However In the article I they have relevant insider information which they could take advantage of by using machine intelligence. Most attempts to combine human and machine intelligence using markets involve automated traders. The approach I describe illustrates that there's another place where machine intelligence could help. -- __________ |im Tyler http://timtyler.org/ ------------------------------------------- AGI Archives: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/303/=now RSS Feed: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/rss/303/21088071-f452e424 Modify Your Subscription: https://www.listbox.com/member/?member_id=21088071&id_secret=21088071-58d57657 Powered by Listbox: http://www.listbox.com
