Alan,

Checking back through the archives, I find that your offensive posts to this
list have all involved comments about Eliezer Yudkowsky.

Please, in future posts, simply do not refer to Eliezer at all, directly or
indirectly.  I'm sure you can find plenty of other things to talk about.  I
know your feelings on the topic are strong, but nearly none of the other
people on this list want to hear them.

In my view, the Singularity Institute for AI has nothing in common with
religious cults.  In fact, while Eliezer has aroused the interest and
admiration of many, so far as I know he has accumulated very few "followers"
even in an intellectual sense, let alone a cultish sense.  Having an extreme
perspective relative to the norm does not make one cult-leader-like.

Sheesh....  Let's get back to talking about interesting stuff, please!!
