Hello Arnoud Michel. Greetings from London.
I'm taking a different approach to A.I. from you,
so I won't comment on your ideas about A.I.

As far as I understand your philosophical ideas,
I think the questions you are asking lead to this question :
How can I achieve happiness?
I think that the most worthwhile philosophical ideas
lead to this question, then try to answer it.
Perhaps if you think more about happiness,
and seek to achieve it, then your view of those philosophical problems
will change, and your understanding will deepen.
What things make you happy? Are you aware of what things make you happy?

That sounds good to me.
But of course people will disagree about what leads to joy.
When you say "joy", do you mean "pleasure"?
Seeking pleasure is just one way to seek happiness.
It doesn't always work.

What is "physicalism" ? And why is it a disaster?
Is this disaster in the world outside you,
or is it something that you feel?

Why is that a problem?
If the universe doesn't need me, why should that matter to me?
What matters to me are the things that are personal to me.
My personal life matters to me. Whatever is outside the Solar System
is unimportant to me. Is it not the same for you?
If you are looking for answers outside the Solar System,
perhaps you are looking in the wrong place?

OK, thats a good reason for wanting an AGI, and a Singularity.
But what would happen if you met a person with an IQ thats
too high to measure?
Suppose that you could discuss your philosophical questions with him/her ?
Assuming this person took an interest in you, and tried to help you,
would that be just as useful to you as having access to an AGI ?
This experience happened to me once.
I was at a conference, and I met a woman there who seemed to be
so intelligent that she was frightening!
The conference was organised by Mensa, the high IQ society.
I'm a member of Mensa, so I'm used to meeting intelligent people,
but this woman was different. Perhaps she was a rare super-genius,
like Stephen Hawking.
I guess that if you ever meet the right person or people
to discuss your ideas with, then you may not need an AGI.

That sounds good.
I wish I could do that. Unfortunately I can't walk in the country,
because I live in London.

But you can still take pleasure from the forest, can't you?
If you think you know too much to take pleasure from simple things,
then perhaps your knowledge is not worth much.
I wonder if you know the right things. It may be time for you to learn
something new.
