I stumbled upon this fascinating Tech Review video on what I would describe as measurement, representation and analysis of nonverbal human communications. I think something like this could become a very important subcomponent of AGI enhancing its usefulness to humans, for example in the interface between humans and AGI.
It appears this could be a real killer tech and IMO the researchers in the video really are not being visionary at all about the potential applications.
