Why do you write such blatantly incorrect things?
Because there is a problem with your design and you still don't see it.

You write blatantly incorrect things because there is a problem with my design?

I don't get that. Your writing blatantly incorrect things distracts me from the discussion of possible problems with my design. Why do you want to disract me?

Where do top level goals come from?

Lets say evolution for the purposes of argument.

A group of friendly agents working together is the same thing as one vastly more intelligent agent.

OK.

It will have some set of goals, but what?

I don't believe that this ia *at all* relevant to my argument, but I will play along . . . .

Let's say "eating well", "being comfortable", "not wasting it's resources"

If it has no competition, then where is the selective
pressure to maintain goals that promote self preservation?

The environment. Unfit agents get weeded out. The agents improve (evolution!). The smartest (most survival oriented) agents realize that their survival depends on that of the vastly more intelligent agent. They then ensure that that agent has a self-preservation goal.
