Saying your system is a "complex system" doesn't constitute a creative
idea. What's the big deal here? Why is your system truly new and
different? Why will it solve any of the unsolved problems of AGI? Where's
the beef? And what on earth does the thing do? Site visitors & investors
will want to know these things.

Let me attempt to condense this for you since Richard has (rightly)
given up after you've shown the total lack of respect of not reading the
references that he has pointed you at.
Saying that an AGI system *MUST* be a complex system -- with a very
specific definition of complex (not your half-assed layman's
misunderstanding of what the word means) -- and that, therefore, many of the
unspoken/unrealized base assumptions of many of the practitioners of AGI are
wrong -- is a paradigm-changing event. If Richard is correct, he has
created a whole new paradigm (is that creative enough for you?). Do you not
regard a new paradigm as a big deal? Does it not *radically* change our
view of existing systems and create a ton of new opportunities and
directions to expand them. Won't that help solve the unsolved problems of
AGI -- to point out that it is one of *our* unspoken assumptions that is
blocking us from progress and that there is a way around the block if we're
willing to shed the assumption?
You are being a total ass. You're slinging fast food commercials while
refusing to read the documentation that answers your questions. I'm going
to start calling you Mike the Sound-Bite. Inventing a sound-bite of what
*you* think an idea is about is not brilliance -- it is bigotry. You know
what a bigot is, don't you? Someone who decides what they are going to see
and then stops looking -- which is probably how they become a bigot in first
place. You, sir, are an arrogant bigot who can't get past his own
preconceptions enough to get out of his own way. Another more common name
for this is -- TROLL!
There *are* intelligent ways to argue with Richard. Ben disagrees with
Richard far more violently than you do -- but he is respectful and has the
courtesy to read and understand Richard's points well enough to directly
address them with clear, cogent arguments. That is class in a scientific
debate.
What, in ad terms, is your U.S.P. ? Complexity is not a U.S.P.
Neither you nor your site answer these questions. And I've asked you them
on more than one occasion.
Let me quite clearly *TELL YOU* that Richard has answered your questions
*REPEATEDLY*. Stop being an arrogant bigot and LISTEN to his answers
(rather than declaring that you haven't listened and there weren't any --
because THERE WERE!).

No. You do not know enough to spot ideas. You are so far down the
learning curve that you don't have any idea how much you don't know. You
keep pontificating on your AWESOME VISION IDEA. Several of us keep
responding -- "There is nothing new here. We know exactly what you mean at
core and you're getting the details wrong. This is all kindergarten stuff."
But the child keeps screaming "BUT I'M RIGHT" and interrupting the adults
trying to have a conversation and get somewhere. The *ONLY* reason why you
haven't been stepped on more thoroughly before now is because, in general,
AGI scientists are among the nicest, kindest, most ethical individuals that
I have ever seen (I am an exception -- I regard occasionally thoroughly
kicking someone's ass as being enough in my best interest that occasionally
I am more than willing to do so. Aren't you lucky? :-).
Look at the way Richard answers you when you have refused, YET AGAIN, to
read the very explanation that you keep badgering him to provide . . . .
So I went to the trouble of writing an 8424-word paper and you have
absolutely no idea what it means, and cannot even get so far as to ask
some specific questions about it? It sounds a little like you are
saying: "I didn't understand this so you must try again."
How do I know that the text I already wrote was not perfect the way it
was, and that the problem is at your end....? ;-) Just asking.
Let me CLEARLY state -- the problem is at YOUR end. If Ben is talking
about specific details, then the details are there. If you don't see the
details, SHUT UP and STOP ARGUING until you have the knowledge to argue
intelligently. Doing otherwise makes you a useless TROLL and a serious drag
on this list. We would love to UPLIFT you so that you can join us as a peer
and further the work of AGI -- and we are willing to devote time and effort
towards doing so -- but you need to meet us halfway or it won't work.
I STRONGLY suggest that you review your most recent e-mails and
conversations on this list with another person that you trust and respect.
Get their impression of how you've been behaving and then reply to me
accordingly.
