OK, Looks like I lied a little. I can't just change the sprint name because my contingencies are linked (apparently) to the name of the sprint - not an ID of the sprint or something. When I changed my sprint name to fix the URL encoding, my sprint burndown changed and I realized my contingencies were gone. I changed the name back (with the "#") and things reappeared.
Just knowledge for everyone until encoding is fixed on all links. Not a show stopper for me by any means.
